Obituary of Ola Gay Snow Bell

Ola Gay Snow Bell, age 92, of Speedwell passed away Friday, May 12, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Eugene & Elizabeth Jackson Snow, a member of Speedwell Pentecostal Holiness Church and was preceded in death by a sister Gladys Mulkey, three brothers, Howard, Paul and Kenneth Snow. Gay is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Jean & Ed Bralley of Speedwell, Elizabeth Ann Bell of Speedwell, Anna & Ralph Arnold of Speedwell, Nancy & J.D. Phillippi of Speedwell; sons and daughters-in-law, William B. & Darlene Bell of Palm Bay, FL, Jerry Wayne & Betty Bell of Speedwell; brother and sister-in-law, Charles & Dora Snow of Summersville, SC; grandchildren and spouses, Jay & Pam Phillippi of Rural Retreat, Renee & Lee Harper of Roanoke, Beth & Joe Matney of Speedwell, Robbie & Megan Arnold of Speedwell, B.J. & Santana Bell of Speedwell, Amanda & Jim Berschneider of Youngstown, Ohio; 13 great-grandchildren; special friends, Hoosier & Tilly Phillippi of Speedwell; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Funeral services will be held 3 PM Sunday May 14, 2017 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by The Reverend Jerry Bell and The Reverend Doug Stuart, with interment to follow in the Speedwell United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time or at her home, 7663 Grayson Tpke, Speedwell, VA, 24374.
