Obituary of Dorothy Ann Cregger Catron

Dorothy Ann Cregger Catron, “affectionately known as Grans” age 73, of Rural Retreat, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 31, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Everett Wade & Hattie Cox Crigger. Miss Dorothy as she was known to many, loved and touched the lives of those around her, especially the little ones at the Children’s Garden Day Care Center. She is survived by her solulmate, devoted & loving husband of 55 years, Ronnie D. Catron of Rural Retreat, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Rhnea & Ken Langston of Rural Retreat, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony & Tammy Catron of Roanoke, VA, Donald & Jeanine Catron of Fredericksburg, VA, Tim & Dawn Catron of Clayton, NC; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brother, sisters and spouses, Randy and Peggy Cregger, Charlotte Coe and Brenda & Carl Riggle; several extended family members also survive.

 

A memorial service will be held 2 PM, Saturday June 3, 2017 at Berea Christian Church, conducted by the Reverend Gary Houseman, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Berea Christian Church from 12 Noon until service time. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Berea Christian Church Cemetery Fund C/O Sandra Ferguson,500 S Petunia Road, Wytheville, Va.,  24382 or to Hospice of Southwest Va., 600 West Ridge Road, Wytheville, Va. 24382.
