Obituary of Mann Randolph Page Pendleton

Mann Randolph Page Pendleton, 65, of Old Hickory, TN, originally from Wytheville, VA, died Monday, June 12, 2017. Preceded in death by his parents Nathaniel Willis Pendleton Sr. and Margaret Tinder Pendleton; his sister Margaret Bowers; his brother Nathaniel Pendleton Jr. Survived by his wife, Cathy McDonald Pendleton; his children Catherine E. Pendleton and Frank M. Pendleton; his sisters Patty DuPuis (Tom), Jane Cook (Larry) and Elizabeth Geffert (Paul); his brother William Pendleton (Judy); his brother-in-law Rev. Thomas Bowers (Pam); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

 Mann attended Vanderbilt University and graduated in 1974 with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduating he went into the highway construction industry and recently retired from Jones Brothers Contractors after 28 wonderful years. He was an active member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church. Mann will be missed by his friends and his family who adored his joy for life and his love for others.

Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Wytheville, VA at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 11:30- 1:30 pm at Grubb Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will also be held in Nashville, TN, on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church at 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wytheville Community College Educational Foundation, INC. 1000 East Main Street Wytheville, VA 24382, or St. Philip’s Episcopal Church 85 Fairway Drive Nashville, TN 37214.
