Obituary of Phyllis Leona Goodman Porter

Phyllis Leona Goodman Porter, 73 of Wytheville, went to her Lord on Saturday, March 3. Preceded in death in January by her beloved mother, Geneva Poston of Wytheville, Phyllis is survived by one son: Earnest Bolton “Buck” Shrader, Jr. of Wytheville; two sisters: Dixie “Patsy” Goodman of Crockett and Vicki and Charles Chrisley of Max Meadows; nieces and nephews: Debra King, Jami and Todd Coe, Jason and Lucy Hagy, Christi and Gary Carpenter, Jeremy Hagy, Deb Chrisley and Michael Johnson and Joe and Sunita Chrisley; great nieces and nephews: Jared and Lacy King, Jett and Nathan McKenna, Jade and Tanner Mabe , Kane Southard, Kerry Jo Chrisley, Josiah Chrisley; one great-great niece: Lillian Geneva Rose King and one great-great nephew: Jesse Lee Warren King. Phyllis was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Wytheville.

A memorial service will be held 6 P.M. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 P.M. until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church Relay for Life Team, 330 Church Street, Wytheville VA. 24382.
