Obituary of George Lincoln Smith

George Lincoln Smith, age 65, of Wytheville, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 at his home. He was the son of the late Robert Paul & Nora Virginia Gordon Smith. George was preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Seagle and Frances Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Allison. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Dean Charles, Denise and Rolland Cook and Carrie Smith all of Wytheville; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and R.P. Gravley; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert “Bob” Alexander Smith and wife Janet and Joseph Paul “Shorty” Smith; grandchildren, Stephen Pauley, Tyler Heafner, T’yanna Rainey, Treyvon Rainey, Brayden Rainey and Avery Miller; several nieces, nephews and special cousin Stevie Gordon also survive. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
