Stella Katherine “Sis” Williams Davis Callahan, age 85, of Wytheville, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016. She was the daughter of the late James E. Sr. & Janie Dix Williams, and preceded in death by her first husband, John McGinnis Davis; sons, Howard Wayne “Clicky” Davis, Albert B. Davis; sister, Bertha Underwood; brothers, Bob Williams, Lou Williams and a granddaughter, Tammy Wayne Davis. She is survived by her husband, James Callahan of Wytheville; daughters & sons-in law, Jackie & Sammy Umberger of Rural Retreat, Elizabeth Davis of Greenville, TN, Ardith & Charles Ward of Rural Retreat, Deanie & Larry Dobbins of Wytheville, Donnie Sue “Midget” Miller of Crockett; sons & daughters-in-law, John M. II & Zettia Davis of Wytheville, James H. “Pete” & Becky Davis of Rural Retreat; sisters & brothers-in-law, Janie & Carl Harman of Max Meadows,Ruby & Johnny Tickle of Draper, Edna & Ricky Parks of Wytheville, Danny Underwood of Draper, Randolph & Katie Callahan of MN, Reid & Bobbie Callahan of Winchester, VA ; brothers & sisters-in-law, James E. Jr. & Janie Williams of Wytheville, Joseph N. & Jean Williams of North Ridgeville, Ohio, John D. & Dollie Williams of Wytheville, George & Mary Ann Williams of Rural Retreat, Agnes Williams of Wytheville, Mary Ellen Crew of Washington State, Barbara Callahan of NC; 20 Grandchildren, 39 Great-Grandchildren, 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will held at 7 P.M. Friday, March 18, 2016 in Fairview United Methodist Church, conducted by The Reverend Kevin Fiorini and The Reverend Aubrey Whitlow. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 P.M. until service time. A graveside service will be held at Galilee Christian Church Cemetery 11 A.M. Saturday, March 19, 2016. Friends may call at the home of Deanie Dobbins, 3317 Pepper Ferry Rd. Wytheville, VA 24382. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
