Beth Garland Hurst 67 of Wytheville, VA passed away on July 24th, 2024, at Wythe County Community Hospital. Beth was born in Wythe County to the parents of George Kelly Garland and Maude Spraker.

Beth graduated from George Wythe High School and went on to attend WCC to obtain her nursing degree. Beth worked as a Register Nurse at WCCH for 28 years; where she worked in the ER on night shift Beth loved helping others and enjoyed all that nursing had to hold for her. Beth loved her family and friends; most of all she loved her grandchildren.

Beth is survived by her husband James Crockett Hurst Sr. of 48 years, son Jesse Crockett Hurst III (daughter-in-law Jasmine Harber), grandchildren JC Hurst, Carolyn Marie Hurst, Ella Richardson, Jacquez Younger and Jalysia Younger. Special thanks to her good friend Shirley Caudill for always being there for her.
