Obituary of Steven Dana Smith

Steven Dana Smith, age 72, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025. He was born November 28, 1952, in Wytheville VA, to the late Andrew Lake Smith Sr. and the late Vergie Ribble Callahan Smith. Dana was preceded in death by Filmore Marlin Smith and was a proud United States Army Veteran. Dana is survived by a sister, Mattie Belle Smith Walters of Wytheville; brother, Andrew Lake “Andy” Smith Jr. and wife Debbie of West Virginia; nieces and nephews, Jason Marlin Smith and wife Jessa, Faith Miche’ Smith, Virginia Ann Smith Arnold, William Steven Lake Smith, wife Elizabeth, Douglas “Gray” Walters, Jesse Neil Walters, and a host of extended family also survive. Graveside service will be held 2 P.M. Friday, February 21, 2025, at Mt. Pleasant Community Cemetery conducted by Reverend Jeff Callahan.
