Obituary of Teresa Evelyn Black

Teresa Evelyn Black, born December 24, 1966, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025. She was preceded in death by her son, Jermaine Lynn Black; father, Dennis W. “Pete” Patterson; grandparents, Sidney & Evelyn Black; uncles, William “Butch” Black, James T. “Bo” Black; Sidney & Linda Black, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Susie Black Patterson; Two Aunts: Georgia Black & Pauline Carver all of Wytheville, Virginia; Three Daughters; Jaressa Black & Jalessia Howard of Arkansas, Alexis Howard & Lamar Davis of Wytheville, Virginia, One son: Antonio Howard, Jr. & Anna Parks of South Carolina, One sister: Alexis McGuire of California; One brother: Dennis “Denny” Rivens of Roanoke, Virginia; Special Friend Anthony Jones of Wytheville, Virginia; and 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a mother, Daughter, Grandmother and a Friend to all who knew her. Her favorite scripture Luke 1:46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord. 47 and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Shelley Kyle and Pastor Craig Caylor. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 P.M. until service time.
