Obituary of Stanley Bruce Steffey

Stanley Bruce Steffey, age 76 of Wytheville went to be with to be with the Lord on April 15, 2025. He was born April 7, 1949, in Bastian, VA to late Emmett and Katherine Pennington Steffey. He was preceded in death by his teenage son, Stanley Todd Steffey; three brothers, Frank Steffey, James Steffey, Roger Steffey; an infant sister, Brenda Steffey; and a brother-in-law, Benny Shockley. Stanley is survived by his wife, Linda Shockley Steffey; son and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Elizabeth Steffey; grandson, Dylan Todd Steffey and Allison Wright; two brothers, Curtis Steffey and wife Dorcus, Wilburn Steffey and wife Jane; sister, Ruby Scott Oquinn and husband Johnny; brother-in-law, David Shockley; sister-in-law, Carol Shockley; many nieces, nephews, cousins and an amazing friend and neighbor to Stanley, Matt Ward. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until 3 P.M. Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel.
