James Roy Whalen age 90, of Speedwell, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025. He was born on February 2, 1935 to the late Patrick and Lelia Arney Whalen. He was preceded in death by his wife Ellen Joan Willard Whalen and grandson Will Whalen. Survivors include daughter, Vickie Hodges of Rural Retreat; two sons and daughters-in-law, James, Jr. and Susan Whalen of Rural Retreat; Gary and Janie Whalen of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren Cory Whalen and Heather Whalen; great grandson, Jackson Whalen; sister, Eula Fielder of Rural Retreat; brother and sister-in-law, John and JoAnn Whalen of Speedwell and several nieces and nephews.
