Samuel “Dale” Halsey, a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 61. Dale was born on February 2, 1964, to John L. and Winnie Halsey. Dale was a true outdoorsman at heart. His love for fishing and hunting brought him countless hours of joy and created lasting memories with family and friends. Dale never turned down a chance to go fishing and spent many summer nights catfishing at Claytor Lake.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister-in-law John and Sharon Halsey, and a sister Eula Greer. Dale leaves behind two sons Sam Halsey (Jennifer) and Chad Halsey (Krista), his grandchildren John Abrahm, Abigail, Eli, Jack, Jacob, Harper, and Evan. A brother Kenneth Halsey (Sandy), brother-in-law Perry Greer, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held 6 P.M. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Reverend James Davidson. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 P.M. until service time. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
