
Obituary of Gracie Virginia Ogle
Gracie “Patsy” Ogle ascended in to eternal glory on May 2, 2025, leaving a behind a legacy of devotion and love for her family and friends. Her unwavering love for the Lord inspired countless souls as she shared her faith with everyone she encountered, spreading hope and joy for her Lord, Jesus Christ. She also known by many for her years of caring as a Nurse Assistant at the Chitwood Hospital and starting in 1973 at the W.C.C.H. where she retired in 2001. We find peace in knowing she’s basking in heavenly bliss in the arms of Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Edna Mize; husband, Malcolm D. Ogle, Sr.; two sons, Mark Ogle and Malcolm “Sam” Ogle, Jr..
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Ogle Collins (Darrell) of Wytheville; sister, Wanda Fritz of Tampa, Fl; ; two daughters-in-law, Suzanne Ogle of Fort Chiswell; Rita Ogle of Snowville; nine grandchildren, Vanessa Collins, Michael Ogle, Lisa Ogle, Duane Ogle, Courtney King, Micaha Sheffey, Jon Paxton, Victoria Gravley and Brandy Albert; eleven great grandchildren, Cody Collins, Dustin Collins, Jacob Ogle, Brooklyn Ogle, Dakota Dacosta, Astin Dacosta, Kensley Sheffey, Tripp Sheffey, Kieram Gravley, Jude Gravley, Ezra Gravley; and seven great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral service will be 7 PM, Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Danny Helmondollar and Pastor Kelly Marshall officiating. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the Mt. Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at Grubb Funeral Home.
