Obituary of Ronald Lee Dooley

Ronald Lee Dooley, age 74 of Wytheville VA went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2025. He was born in Roanoke, VA on November 15th, 1950, to the late Samuel Issac Dooley and the late Blanche Grubbs Dooley. He was formerly employed at Volvo Trucks and retired after 30 years. Ronnie loved life and loved spending time with his wife, his two girls, his two sons-in-law and his beloved cat, Junebug. He was an avid golfer for many years and enjoyed playing at different courses. He loved listening to music with his girls and going to many concerts to see his favorite bands. He was a lover of the ocean and enjoyed fishing at the Outer Banks and vacationing in Key West, FL and Savannah, GA. He is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Issac Dooley, mother, Blanche Grubbs Dooley, brother, Richard Dooley. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Peggy Dooley. Daughter, Jennifer Farley (Jon) of Naples, FL. Daughter, Mandy Fulp (Donnie) of Bluefield, WV. Sister, Sue (Gene) Proehl of Moneta, VA. Brother, Don Dooley (Sandy) of Roanoke, Va. Brother, Joe Dooley (Teresa) of Rocky Mount, VA. Grandson, Sean Holcomb. Also, several nieces and nephews. His wishes were to be cremated and no services to be held. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to Second Chance For Cats at 874 Littlesburg Rd., Bluefield, WV 24701.
