Obituary of Barbara Lynn Peters Davis

Barbara Lynn Peters Davis went to be with her heavenly father on June 9, 2025. She resided at Carrington Place Nursing Home in Wytheville for over 4 years. Known for her quick wit and being a great conversationalist, she enjoyed the company of many of the staff, friends, and family that called or visited. If you heard laughter while walking the halls, you knew it was coming from Barbara Lynn’s room Barbara was a 1964 graduate of Tazewell High School and a Deaconess at Victory Fellowship Church of Claypool Hill. She was employed for several years at Lesters Flowers in Tazewell and was an accomplished floral arranger. She also worked for Tazewell County as a switchboard operator and data entry clerk. In 1965 she married the love of her life, kirk D. Davis of Burkes Garaden and they resided in the Gratton Community for most of their marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents, William C. Peters and Helen Farley Peters of Tazewell. Barbara Lynn is survived by her husband Kirk, her daughter Kelly Davis Skeens and husband Destry of Marion, Va. A granddaughter, Megan Gallagher Bailey and husband Austin and two beloved great grandsons, Gareth Killian Bailey and Erik Finnigan Bailey of Bristol, Va. Also, one brother, Michael C. Peters and wife Kimberly of Port Charlotte, Florida. A celebration of life service will be by her brother at Perry & St Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA on Monday, June 16, 2025. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM with a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
