Ronald Keith Brooks of Rural Retreat, VA passed away on June 16, 2025. He was 55. Ronnie was born in Wytheville, VA on July 3, 1969 to the late Thomas Maynard Brooks and the late Della LoGene Lyons Brooks Pridemore. He was also the stepson of the late Paul Pridemore Sr. He was pre-deceased in death by his daughter, Sherry Hensley, his brothers Gary, Jeffrey, Robert and Ricky Brooks and his sister, Patricia Elaine Brooks.

Ronnie is survived by his girlfriend, Debbie Stroupe of Rural Retreat. His Ex-wife Wanda Brooks of Wytheville who always remained an important part of Ronnie’s life. His sons, Brandon Brooks of Rural Retreat and Ronald Brooks of Princeton, West VA. His daughter, Crystal Brooks of Wytheville and Timmy Jones of Rural Retreat. He is also survived by six grandchildren. He also leaves behind two brothers, David Brooks of Rural Retreat and Tommy Brooks of Knoxville, TN. Three sisters, Linda Cline of Wytheville, Joyce Copenhaver of Aberdeen, MD and Debbie Dalling of Indian Mound, TN. Several nieces and nephews also remain.

Ronnie was employed at Brooks Underground Contractors. He absolutely loved working with his son. In the last two years, Ronnie’s outlook on life changed. He became totally aware of how important his family was and he left this world knowing he was truly loved and blessed by God to have them.

A graveside service will be conducted at Zion United Methodist Church in Nebo/Ceres on Sunday afternoon at 3 P.M. with the Reverend Richard Collins officiating.
