On July 10th, 2025, at 9:05 am, Geoffrey Lynne Russell - better known as Pops, left earth side to enter his Heavenly home at 80 years old. He was born on December 30, 1944, in Cedar Bluff, VA. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war.
He is proceeded in death by his mother, Gennette Russell, father, Walter Russell and great grandson, Theodore Miller.
He is survived by Della Russell- wife of 49 years, son Aaron Russell (Jen) and his sister Suzanne Barnett (Raymond), four grandchildren, Megan (Walter) Miller, Josh (Kara) Russell, Clayton and Jerilyn Lowe. Three Great Grandchildren, David Miller, Kailynne Alford and Annabel Russell. God daughter, Megan (Phillip) Jarquio. Special twin brother, Clayton Riggs. As well as a host of special friends turned family.

Visitation will be from 5:00-6:30 on Sunday, July 13th at Legacy church in Wytheville. Services will commence immediately afterwards with Pastor Brett McCleary officiating.
A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Va. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
