James “Jim” Allen Bolash, Sr. age 78, of Fort Chiswell, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Washington County on July 15, 1947 to the late Eleck George and Nellie Geneva Mock Bolash. Jim was a Member of the Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 35 years and retired from Volvo. Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 47 years, Sidney Charlene Jackson Bolash; and three siblings, Dorothy Hearn, Shirley Frye and June Hoback.

Survivors include his two daughters and son-in-law, Crystal and Brad Barnes of Fort Chiswell; Debra “Debbi” Bolash of Rural Retreat; son and companion, Allen Bolash, Jr. and Kimberly Winwood of Austinville; six grandchildren, Brittney and Michael DeBord of Clarksville, TN; Sarah Bolash of Pulaski; Hannah Bolash of Ft Chiswell; Gavin Melton of Wytheville; Hadley Melton of Ft Chiswell; Ryleigh Meredith of Rural Retreat; three great grandchildren, Juliana Farmer of Austinville; Catherine Farmer of Austinville and Alexis Bolash of Pulaski; special friend, Brenda Byrd of Ft Chiswell; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 3 P.M. Sunday July 20, 2025 at the Grubb Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Ingo officiating. Entombment will follow in the West End Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
