Davina Jessie McMillan Wingate, born 12/8/50, lost her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer August 17, 2025. She passed over peacefully surrounded by close family in her home. Davina was known for her loving spirit, love for her family & friends, her strength & candor. She was preceded in death by parents Marco McMillan, Zola Patton McMillan and step- sister Teresa McMillan.

Survived by her husband Charles Cooper Wingate, daughter Kimberly Wingate Lewis (Todd Lewis) grandchildren Cooper Lucas Smelser and Adam Wythe Smelser, brothers Daryl and Dennis McMillan, along with nieces and nephews. Special thank you for love and support provided by Jamie Wingate and Tara Wingate along with Carolyn Wohlford, Holly Johnson, Patty Brewer, Brenda Aker, Julia Umberger, Hallie Edwards, Carolyn Patton Hale and Roger Davis.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. with a graveside to follow in the Speedwell Methodist Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
