Estle Corvin passed away January 21, 1945. Born June 17, 1925, was the son of the late Robert Sanders and Julia Matilda Baumgardner Corvin.
He entered the United States Army on December 29, 1943, at the age of seventeen and served Company K, 3rd Battalion 157th Infantry Division, in European Theater during World War II. He was killed near the village of Reipertswiller, France.
Estle was preceded in death by his brothers, Osborne Corvin, Herman “Wig” Corvin, Joseph “Joe” Corvin, James “Steve” Corvin, Robert “Ed” Corvin, Troy “Speck” Corvin and Walter Corvin; sisters Stella Corvin Etter, Clara Corvin, half-brother, Sam Baumgardner.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, great nephews and nieces, great-great nephews and nieces, great-great-great nephews and nieces.
A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday September 13, 2025, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery in Crockett, VA., conducted by Pastor Mark Linkous. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
