Robert Lee Pauley, age 78, of Max Meadows VA, went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2025. He was born on July 25, 1947, to the late Buford and Hollis Pauley. He was also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Carolyn Pauley, and by his brother, Perry Pauley.



He is survived by his three daughters: Heather and Gary Young of Mount Airy, NC; Amber Pauley of Mount Airy, NC; and Ashley and Franklin Sheffey of Wytheville, VA; his son, Timothy and Denice Pauley of Killeen, TX; his sister, Margie and Danny DeWilde of Stoney Fork, VA; and his sister-in-law, Debbie Pauley of Draper, VA. His pride and joy were his 10 grandchildren. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members and friends.



A service celebrating his life and faith will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville, VA, with Rev. John Cooper officiating. In his final days, Robert accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized, bringing peace to his heart and joy to his family.
