William J. "Bill" Parker Obituary

William J. “Bill” Parker, born January 7, 1935, in Jamestown, New York, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Wytheville, Virginia. He was 90 years old.

Bill was the beloved son of Charles and Mildred Parker and the devoted husband of JoAnn Parker, who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his son Mark Parker and grandson Jacob William Parker.

A proud veteran, Bill served during the time of the Korean War, demonstrating his commitment to his country with honor and dedication. His service remains a lasting testament to his strength of character and sense of duty. Throughout his life, Bill found spiritual grounding and community through his involvement with Calvary Assembly Church and Legacy Church. His faith was a guiding force that shaped his values and relationships.

Bill’s legacy lives on through his children: Joel Parker; Heather Scheneman and her husband Michael Scheneman. He was a cherished grandfather to Jason Parker, Jennifer Parker, Rebecca Duke, Madison Miranda Carreras, Javier Miranda-Carreras, Daniel Duke, and Meghan Duke. His love extended to the next generation as well—he was a proud great grandfather to Rylee Parker, Jenna Parker, Camden Parker, and Eloise Luna Miranda-Carreras. May William J. “Bill” Parker’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all whose lives he touched.
