Janie Steffey Williams passed away October 7, 2025. She was born May 19, 1932, the daughter of the late Arthur Lee Steffey and Christine Catron Steffey. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William Franklin Steffey.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, James E. Williams, Jr.; daughter, Sherry W. Van Antwerp (Duane); son Mark Williams (Valarie); grandchildren Amanda King (PJ), Kayla Williams, Newton Williams, and Jaimie Van Antwerp; great- grandchildren Kalei King, Kelsei King, and Austin Reynolds; sisters-in-law, Ruby Tickle, Edna Parks (Ricky), Jeannie Williams, Dollie Williams, Linda Steffey; brothers-in-law, George Williams (Mary Ann), Danny Underwood; as well and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Grubb Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Derek Cowan. The family will receive family and friends from 12 noon until the time of the service. Burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
