Bill Brogden, age 83, of Wytheville passed away Friday, October 24, 2025. He was born on September 14, 1942, son of the late Carlton Leroy and Lola Pearl Corbett Brogden. Bill was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a long-time member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife Linda Staley Brogden of Wytheville; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Todd Woolard, McGee Crossroads, NC; grandchildren, Justin and Ashley Massengill of Garner NC, Matthew Massengill of Clayton NC; step-grandson, Logan Woolard of Ocean Isle, NC; sisters and brother-in-law, Teena and Marc Rawski of Ocoee FL, Robin Horning of Orlando FL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Susan Staley; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, November 1, 2025, at St. John’s Episcopal Church conducted by The Reverend Paul Hicks. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 275 E. Main St. Wytheville, VA 24382.
