Elmer D. Frye, age 85, of Wytheville, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Elmer was born January 22, 1940, to the late Harvey Elwood “Doc” and Gladys Akers Frye and was preceded in death by his wife Frances Holbrook Frye and several siblings.

He is survived by his son, Keith Frye of Wytheville; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held 11 A.M. Friday, November 7, 2025, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Reverend Derek Cowan. The family will receive friends Friday from 10 A.M until service time. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
