Truman Jones, age79, of Piney passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. He was born on May 20, 1945, to the late Ben and Elsie Akers Jones. He was preceded in death by his four brothers, Swanson, Dallas, Farley and Tommy Jones; and a sister Patricia Leftwich.

Survivors include his two sons, Dana “Rooster” Jones of Mule Hell; Ronald “Willie Bo” Jones of Piney; five grandchildren, Ben Jones, Franklin Jones, Kevin Jones, Kelly jones and Daniel Jones; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Agnes Arnold of Piney, Carolyn and Maurice McRoberts of Greensboro; Gloria Dunford of Piney; Mary and M.B. Smith of Piney; Greg Leftwich of Max Meadows.

Funeral service will be held at 6 P.M. Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Liberty Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend Bob Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Thursday at the church. A graveside service will be held 11 A.M. on Friday at the Mt Zion Community Cemetery.
