Betty Felts Edmonds, age 85, of Grahams Forge, Virginia, was called to her heavenly home
on Thursday, December 25, 2025. She was born on November 22, 1940.
Betty loved the Lord and found great comfort in reading scripture daily. Her faith was evident in the way she lived her life—always with kindness, humility, and a servant’s heart. She dearly loved her church family at Grahams Forge United Methodist Church, where she faithfully attended and sang in the choir.
Betty took pride in serving her community and was a true patriot. She worked local elections, proudly served on jury duty, and spent many years helping others through her work at State Farm Insurance. She also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Averett University. Whether at work, church, or simply shopping around town, Betty had a way of brightening someone’s day with a kind word or a warm smile.
Family was at the center of Betty’s heart. She especially enjoyed caring for her great-grandson and attending her great-grandson’s sporting events. She was well known for having one of the kindest hearts and was always willing to help anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her father, Guy C. Felts; her mother, Burter Ayers Felts; her
loving husband, John Clarence Edmonds; and many beloved brothers, sisters, and brothers and sisters-in-law, all of whom she held close in her heart and now joyfully reunites with in
heaven.
She is survived by her son John Stacy Edmonds and fiancée Kayla Christine Flynn; granddaughter Kristan Nicole Edmonds and fiancée Jason Adams; great-grandson John
Wallace Green; sisters Margaret Felts Collins and Janet Felts Wagner; special nieces Kim
Rorrer, Lori Aker Gwynn, and Nancy Collins; and dear friends Ray Patton and Sherman
Smith, whose love and help meant so much to her.
Betty will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. She will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Grubb Funeral Home, 215 S. 6th Street, Wytheville, VA 24382.
