Ronald F. Lanter SR, 60, of Wytheville, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025. He was born on July 14, 1965, to the late Louise Grubb Lanter and Douglas Lanter SR.

Ronnie is survived by his children Jessica Lanter; Ronald Franklin Lanter JR and husband Anthony. He is also survived by his many brothers and sisters Brenda Gravley; Elizabeth Lambert; Nancy Blanchard and husband Bobby; Cecil Gravley; Phyllis Burns; Leonard Gravley; Doug Lanter and wife Dee; and Stevie (Hightower) Lanter and wife PJ as well as many nieces and nephews. Special acknowledgement to Brandon Stoupe, Sonia Russell and Joshua Russell.

Ronnie was a loving father, loyal and loving friend and sexiest man to ever exist. He loved being a father, spending time with family, helping friends, repairing vehicles and sharing a smile and a laugh everywhere he went. His bright smile and warm embrace will be missed by everyone he met.

A memorial service will be held 3 P.M. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Reverend Steve Umberger. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until service time. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
