Beverly Jane Palmer, 84, of New Castle, VA, passed away on January 5, 2026. Born August 21, 1941, in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of William and Roberta Crawford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Palmer, and sons John and Everett Palmer.

A beloved member of the New Castle community, Beverly worked as a teacher’s aide with Craig County Schools, where she touched the lives of many students and parents.

She is survived by her son Thomas Palmer, Jr. (Sheila) of Vinton, VA; grandchildren Taylor Shifflett (Matthew) of Greeneville, TN, Colby Palmer (Maggie) of Richmond, VA, Shane Palmer of Arlington, VA, and Courtney Palmer of Moneta, VA; great-grandchildren Braiden and Bentley Shifflett; and extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. January 9, 2026, at Grubb Funeral Home, with Pastor Paige Wimberly. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Grubb Funeral Home.
