Paul Anthony "Tim" Ratcliff Obituary

Paul Anthony "Tim" Ratcliff of the Piney community passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born July 11, 1971 to Paul and Louise Ratcliff.

He worked at Reed Creek Milling Company for several years before taking a job at Fontaine Modifications in Dublin, where he was promoted to shift supervisor. Eventually, he built a garage of his own and began working from home. He was an ace mechanic, a meticulous auto painter, and a Jack of all trades, in general. There was very little he couldn't do. Tim was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed the great outdoors; a huge Cowboys fan; and loved NASCAR racing, always pulling for the Earnhardt’s. He was a major cut-up, who considered it a victory if he could aggravate or scare you.

He was preceded in death by both his parents; his much-loved Grandma Audie; his stepmother-in-law, Bonnie Arnold Ratcliff; his father-in-law, Edward V. Arnold; and his stepfather-in-law, Bill Byrd.

Tim is survived by his wife, Natalie Arnold-Ratcliff; brother, Jeff Ratcliff and Missy; niece, Tara Sweat and Eric; great-nephew, Bryce; mother-in-law, Brenda Byrd; the Motley Muttley Crew: Piper, Georgie, Grease Monkey, Laddie, Lulu, and #9, along with all the cats he pretended he didn't like,

Per his wishes, there will be no funeral or graveside services. If you wish to pay your respects to the family, you are welcome at his mother-in-law's residence on Ivanhoe Road. Donations may also be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association. There will be a private interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Piney.
