Mary Margret Wright McGrady, age 95, of Rural Retreat, passed away January 27, 2026. She was born on July 28, 1930, the daughter of the late James F. and Nancy Rosenbaum Wright. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McGrady: sister, Anna Louise McGrady; brothers, Warren Wright, Joe Wright, Robert Lee Wright, James Sonny Wright.

Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and David Grubb of Rural Retreat; sisters, Dora Kathleen Seagle, Vada Virginia Hanson, Martha Ellen Taylor, Bertha Mae Shelton; brothers, Rassie Ray Wright, Trent S. Wright all of Wytheville; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Jacob Vanover. Interment will be at Sharon Baptist Church in Rural Retreat at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
