James “Blaine” Krunich, 66, of Wytheville, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026. He was born December 18, 1959, to the late Margaret Hoback Krunich. Blaine was also preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Jo Krunich.

Blaine was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family deeply. He was known for his pleasant nature, his happiness, and for always trying to make you laugh. Blaine never met a stranger and was always a joy to be around.

Blaine is survived by his children, Lori Kincer and her husband, Kelly; Robby Krunich and his wife, Jessica; and Brittany Rider and her husband, Brian; his grandchildren, Addison, Skylar, Reid, and Sloan; his sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Mike Dunford; and his father, Ralph Krunich. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
