Donna Dalton Jonas Obituary
Donna Dalton Jonas went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, March 23, 2026. She was born on January 27, 1952, in Wythe County, Virginia, the daughter of Thomas Amos Dalton and Ella Mae Chapman. Donna graduated from Rural Retreat High School and later attended Radford College.
Donna loved her church family, especially her Bible study group, and she found joy in reading, crafting, sitting on the front porch, and spending time with the people she loved most. She retired after 30 years of dedicated and exemplary service as a Service Manager with ADCO in Manassas, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Michael “Mikey” Dalton; her sister, Wanda Dalton DeWilde; her daughter, Crystal Leighann Jonas; and her son, Matthew Curtis Jonas.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Daniel “Danny” “Boogaloo” Jonas; her daughters, Cynthia Ray (Richard Ray) and Emily Jonas; her grandchildren, Katelyn Plaugher (Max Fuller), Curtis Plaugher (Brooke Spindle), Brooke Plaugher, Elliott Ray, and Matthew Ray; her great‑grandchildren, Alvah Jonas, Montana Jonas, Wrennon Weakly, Lainey Weakly, and Adelaide Fuller; as well as her bonus great‑grandchildren, Trinity Thomasson and Liam Korte.
Donna is also survived by her beloved great‑aunt, Glenda Jonas Lowe; her cousin, Kay Chapman Horney; her sisters‑in‑law, Emma “Libby” King, Sandra Vipperman (Dan), and Patricia Stowers; her brother‑in‑law, Rick Jonas; and many cherished nieces and nephews. The family offers special recognition to her niece, Angela Vipperman Rose, for her devoted care, generosity, and support during Donna’s later years.
Services will be held at Crockett's Chapel United Methodist Church in Cripple Creek, Virginia, on Friday, March 27, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., followed by the service at 2 p.m., conducted by Minister Mike Beaver. Burial will take place after the service at the Crockett Family Cemetery in Cripple Creek.
