James Edward Cline, Sr. age 78 went to be with the LORD on Tuesday April 28, 2026.

James “Eddie” was a loving husband to his wife, Bonnie Cline of 54 years. He was devoted to ensuring that his family was taken care of and worked his entire life to achieve that.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Mildred Cline of Speedwell, three brothers and two sisters.

James “Eddie” is survived by one sister Shirley Thomas of Speedwell, Three children Rosie and husband Cliff Chewning of Wytheville, James Cline, Jr. and wife of Crockett, Michelle and husband Randy Osborne of Marion, one special grandson Ryan Osborne “his little buddy” Three granddaughters and four great grandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to his nurse Jennifer.

Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Friday, May 1, 2026, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Reverend Brad Stuart with interment to follow in the Speedwell Methodist Church Cemetery.
