Courtney Lynn Cantrell, age 21, of Wytheville, VA, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, in a car accident

Courtney was born on September 14, 2004, to her loving parents Trina Grubb & Robby Cantrell. From an early age, Courtney was always free-spirited and always had the biggest personality in the room.

She always loved animals and every baby she met especially her nephew Jaxston and her god daughter Addy.

Courtney had a spirit that was too big for what this earth could accommodate. How such a huge heart and personality fit in such a little body is beyond explainable. She had a beautiful way of making others feel loved.

Courtney will be remembered for her beautiful spirit and her infectious laugh. How much she loved her family and friends. In her 21 years Courtney impacted more hearts than most do in a lifetime. Her presence brought joy wherever she went and leaves behind family that will hold her close always.

She was preceded in death by Burt Tate, Irene Fowler, Debbie Woodson.

She is survived by Parents; Trina Grubb of Wytheville, VA, Robby Cantrell of Wytheville, VA; sister, Lexz Cantrell of Wytheville, Va; Grandparents, Darlene Sage of Wytheville, VA and Thomas Fowler of Wytheville, VA; Aunts, April Grubb of Wytheville, VA and Christy Vaught of Wytheville, Va; Uncles, Charles Grubb, Jr. of Wytheville, VA, John Cantrell of Isabella, OK; Nephew, Jaxston Stroupe, God daughter, Adalynn Bott, Special Partner, Dalton Campbell of Damascus, VA; Fur baby, Bama
