Ned, I am very sorry for your low...all of our loss. I recall several days working on landscape issues at your home and long conversations with Martha. I also miss her presence on Wythe Board of Supervisors...a voice of reason. These are difficult times on so many levels and an especially difficult time to lose her. I am so sorry to learn of Martha's passing. She, her sisters and I rode the same school bus, till we graduated. Martha was a good girl and so are her sisters, they are some of my favorite people. I know she'll be missed terribly, they were so close. Prayers for your comfort. God bless you all, love, Jo Ann

Many words describe Martha. God fearing, loving wife, sister, Aunt and cousin. She was a Teacher in Bland and in Wythe Counties and she represented her district as a Supervisor in Wythe County. She loved history, especially family history and recorded it orally and written. She contributed much information to the Bland Historical Society.She will be missed by her family, neighbors and friends. Lovingly, Jean, her little sister.

She was my First grade teacher, the first year she taught. She was So much fun! She taught the class to slow dance. Loved her so! My Favorite teacher! Wish I could have visited with her before she passed. So sad for the Family.
