I just learned of Vernon’s passing. Growing up in the Red Oak community near Ceres, Vernon was my best friend. We went to school together, went to church together, hunted and fished together, worked on many of the farms in the community together, and sometimes got in trouble together, but most of all we always had fun together. Like many people over the years we lost contact but my fond memories make our good times seem like yesterday. My sincere sympathy goes out to all the family.
