Obituary of David Eugene Jones

David Eugene “Jady” Jones age 59 passed away on Tuesday July 18th, 2023 surrounded by his family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father David Gilmer Jones. Jady followed in his dad’s footsteps driving tractor trailers. He loved to drive and was a hard worker. Jady enjoyed going to church and loved gospel music. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed going to Bubba’s shop to spend time talking and visiting with his friends. He is survived by his loving wife Dena Ingo Jones. His wonderful daughters and son-in-law, Jessica and Aaron Pauley and Heather Jones and Fiancé Will Kilgore. His mother, Sue Fisher Jones. His Special grandchildren, Cooper and Payton Pauley. His stepchildren, Kayla and Seth Carico, Tanner Mabe, Dakota and Lauryn Mabe. His special step grandchildren Ava and Boone Carico and Paisley Mabe. His mother-in-law, Patricia Ingo; Father-in-law and wife Dwight and Linda Ingo. Sister-in-law Marsha Ingo and Brother-in-Law Christopher and Tammy Ingo. His Aunts and Uncle Nancy and James Scott and Geneva Stroupe. Many special family, friends and neighbors also survive including his beloved dogs, Lucy, Ozzy and Rosie. Special thanks to Danny Eversole, Chris Cregger and sons, Dale, LD and Randy Jones for always being there to help in any way and for their loving support during Jady’s courageous battle. Special thanks to Blue Ridge Cancer Care and Hospice of Southwest Virginia for their loving care during this difficult journey. Special thanks to Rev. N.R. Taylor, Rev. Kenny Quesenberry and Jady’s wonderful church family. Funeral service will be held 7 P.M. Friday, July 21, 2023 at the Fort Chiswell Church of God with Pastor Kenny Quesenberry and Pastor N.R. Taylor officiating. Graveside service will be held 11 A.M Saturday July 22, 2023 at the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. on Friday at the Church.
