Obituary of Jerry Burns Chase

Jerry Burns Chase of Wytheville, (originally from Clintwood) Virginia, passed peacefully in his home on August 15, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents John William & June Chase of Clintwood, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Kim Stanley-Chase. His children, Jennifer Chase Hamby (Mike) of Wytheville, Jeremy “Jay” Chase (Susan) of Bland, and Angela Alford Williams (Robby) of Wytheville. Stepsons, Robert Mullins (Kelly) of Christiansburg and Daniel Mullins of Dublin. Two brothers, Charles Chase of Wytheville, and Joseph Chase (Susan) of Christiansburg. Grandchildren, Josh (Miranda), Lacey, and Tanner Price of Wytheville; Colton, Abigail, and Alexis Williams of Wytheville; Charlie, Will, and Eli Mullins of Christiansburg. Great grandchildren Raylee & Westlynn Price of Wytheville. Special niece Annabelle Pannell (Johnny), their children Andrea and Brandon. Several loving nieces and nephews. Multiple lifelong friends also survive. Jerry was a graduate of East Tennessee State University & Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. His career at the Virginia Department of Agriculture lasted 42 years. He also served in the Marine Corp during the 1960’s. A private celebration of life will be held at Cove Hollow Farm, August 26th, with family and friends.
