Obituary of Mary Akers Kitts

Mary A. Kitts passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11.  Mrs. Kitts was a native and lifelong resident of Wytheville.   She was employed by United Intermountain Telephone Company where she was a telephone operator for over thirty years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Jack" Kitts and two children; Jackie Kitts and an infant, Mary R. Kitts. Survivors include daughter, Sandra Castor; son, Johnny Kitts, their respective spouses and three generations of grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Chaplin Jon Smith, with interment to follow in the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1 P.M. until service time.
