Obituary of Julian Delano Holbrook

Julian Delano Holbrook age 87, of Cripple Creek, passed away on November 5, 2023. He was born on April 26, 1936 to the late Camiet and Virgie Poe Holbrook. Julian was a retired VDOT employee and a lifelong farmer. Julian had two great passions in life Baseball and Coon Hunting. He was preceded in death by his four brothers, Elmo, Robert, Donald and Fred Holbrook; one sister, Juanita Hackler. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Bonnie Holbrook of Cripple Creek; three daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky and David Lineberry of Germanton, NC; Brenda Holbrook of Cripple Creek; Amanda and Dennis Umberger of Cripple Creek; grandson and spouse, John David and Cayla Colvin of Texas; two great grandchildren, Destiny and Hunter Colvin; special nephew, Edward Hackler of Grayson County; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 7 P.M. on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Grubb Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Bell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M.
