Magoleena “Maggie” Arnold McGee age 68, of East Piney, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024. She was born in Wythe County on December 30, 1955 to the late Elmer “Bill” and Ada Ayers Arnold. She was preceded in death by 7 siblings and a infant grandchild. Maggie retired from Sheffey School where she enjoyed her job and loved the staff and kids with all her heart for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Kenneth Wayne McGee of East Piney; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Beth McGee of Fort Chiswell; two grandchildren, Emma and Elliott McGee; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosa and Dewey Huff of Floyd; Emily and Wilber Wilson of Giles Co.; brother, Franklin Arnold of Giles Co.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 7 P.M. Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the Fort Chiswell Church of God with the Reverend Kenneth Quesenberry and the Reverend Tony Hodge officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the Church. Graveside service will be held 11 A.M. on Wednesday March 27, 2024, at the St Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
