I had the privilege of working with Tony as part of our efforts to support the mission of FDA CBER. In addition to being a brilliant technical architect as well as passionate about supporting the public health mission of the FDA, he was truly inspirational to work with. As a modernization visionary, his energy, vision and drive to support these efforts was truly contagious. His legacy will continue to be felt and remembered for a long time.
My deepest condolences to his family as well as all friends/co-workers who had the pleasure of knowing/loving him.

I am truly sorry to hear about the loss of Tony, my heart goes out to Tony’s loved ones during this difficult time. He was not just a colleague at FDA, but a remarkable human being whose presence was always noticeable. Tony’s brilliance and vision enriched our workplace, but it was his spirit and personality that is to be admired. He had a unique way of making everyone feel valued and important, fostering a sense of camaraderie and support within the team. His genuine enthusiasm and willingness to lend a helping hand or offer mentorship made a lasting impact on us all.
While we mourn his loss, let us celebrate the privilege of having known and worked alongside such an exceptional person. Tony’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and joy will continue to inspire us in our work and in our lives. My deepest condolences go out to you and all who knew and loved him.

I had the honor and privilege of working with Tony at the FDA and I thank his family for sharing him with us. My most favorite thing about Tony is how quickly he would pivot when he encountered a hurdle, undaunted, and pragmatically find another way for us to reach our goal. His loving kindness was matched by his intelligence and vision. Tony always took the time to mentor others, and we are all better people for having worked with him. My deepest sympathies to Tony’s family; please know that he lit up with pure joy when speaking of you. I am humbly reminded, and I share this with his family and friends, “Grief is the final act of love we give to our loved one. Where there is deep grief there is great love.” May your faith carry you through the waves of grief to a place of peace and strength.

I had the privilege of getting to know Tony when I interviewed him for an FDA initiative. I was so impressed by his incredible patience, gentleness, and flexibility throughout the entire interview process. When I heard of his passing, I was struck with sadness, but then remembered his love for the Lord that was apparent in our interactions. He is with Jesus now, witnessing face-to-face what we can only imagine. My prayers are with the family - may you be comforted by his memories and by 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

Along with all my colleagues, I offer my deepest condolences to Tony’s family and friends for the profound loss of this wonderful human being. We are all deeply sadden by his passing, not just because of his brilliance and vision that he brought to work, but because of the loss of his personhood, his spirit and fun personality. He brought enthusiasm and fun to our everyday work lives. He often talked with us individually and made each of us feel like we were extremely important to the mission he envisioned and, most of all, important to him. He was always ready to provide mentorship and explain anything that we didn’t understand.
Personally, I will choose to remember his wonderful smile, which raised us up when we were down, and we thought we would not be achieve our end goal. When he smiled, he did so with his entire face and that is how we knew it was genuine so made us smile in return. I would also like for you all to know that he was extremely proud of his family and beamed when speaking of them. I remember how happy and proud he was in December 2021 when Monroe was born. We will remember him with some sadness and with joy and appreciate that he was part of our lives even if it was for a short time. Thank you for sharing him with us. I believe that we are all better people for having known and interacted with him in this life.

It has taken me days to come up with some words about Tony. His passing has shocked us all into silence and deep reflection on our own lives and where we are going. His intellect, drive, and passion for his work will be sorely missed. Tony was a Coordinator, capital C. He made sure that everyone was always working towards a higher goal. Tony was a Doer. He made things happen. Tony was Smart, maybe too Smart. The rest of us had trouble keeping up sometimes. He was always miles ahead of the crowd, as a Leader who was always trying to take the rest of us in the right direction and cheering us all on the path towards a greater good. May your family rest in knowing that Tony led us all to excel and to believe in a higher purpose. While we thought that higher purpose was just work related, reading about his deep spirituality helps me to understand that Tony was truly leading us towards a much Higher Purpose. His sudden death has even led us to to become so much more aware of the importance of living each day fully and working towards our higher goals, however we define them. We thank him for sharing his life with us as we cheer him on to his Greater Good.

My condolences to Tony's family and friends as you grieve the sudden loss of a great man. I worked closely with Tony at the FDA. We even shared an office at our White Oak, MD campus, but I never got to meet him physically in person... However, over almost the past 4 years I came to know Tony as a multi-talented colleague, who was a great communicator, visionary, inspiration, and motivator. Tony was also a trusted friend and mentor to many of us; and together, we worked through a lot of challenges and accomplishments in our short time together. I hope that we at the FDA can tap into his drive and spirit and continue the path forward to achievement that he was instrumental in starting. I look forward to finally meeting him in person in Heaven...

Tony was a great colleague. From my first interaction with him, he was so welcoming, friendly, and kind. That wasn't just his first impression act, it was how he showed up at every interaction we had. He was an innovator and passionate about his work. Tony would ask to call me "for a few minutes" and pick my brain about my prior experience. He wanted to learn as much as he could about regulatory review to help with technical solutions. Those calls would last an hour. He was easy to talk to and made you laugh.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends. We will miss Tony very much.

I've worked closely with Tony for four years. From his very first day at the FDA, it was clear that he was passionate about the work and a visionary in his field. He provided us with the leadership we needed and was a personal mentor. When I was worried about a project, I knew Tony would provide the support and guidance I needed. We talked often and his kind, generous spirit was always apparent. He spoke so lovingly of his family and his farm, it was clear he lived a full and beautiful life.
