Obituary of Mary Alice Brewster

Mary Alice Brewster, age 92, of York Township, York, PA died at 6:10 PM Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Glen R. Brewster. Born March 8, 1932, in Wytheville, Virginia, a daughter of the late Sherman H. and Annie Laurie (Martin) Williams, she retired from Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation and was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Brewster is survived by a son, Loren G. Brewster; and a daughter, Nancy L. Brewster, both of York. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Annie Laurie “Patsy” Kulp, Rebecca Stultz, and Nancy Alley; and two brothers, Sherman “Buddy” Williams, and Robert Williams. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Providence Presbyterian Church, 1215 Church Road, York, PA with Pastor Vince Wood officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service. Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 20, 2024 at West End Cemetery, Wytheville, Virginia. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, PA is in charge of arrangements. Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the local Virginia arrangements.
