Danny Alvin “Jake” Dowdy age 71, of Wytheville, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Alford Dowdy of Wytheville; two stepdaughters and spouses, April and Brian Lambert of Rural Retreat; Tonya and Dennis Kell of Marion; seven step grandchildren, Devin Bise, Courtnie Bise (James), Hunter Kell, Ryan Kell, Dustin Kell, Brianna Beckett (Seth), and Alyssa Lambert (Jacob); two step great grandchildren, Adalynn Beckett and Allie Halsey.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday 22, 2024 at the Grubb Funeral Home. There will be no service per Jake’s wishes.
