Obituary of Samuel Robert Cassell, Jr.

Samuel Robert Cassell, Jr age 81 of Wytheville, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024. He was born in Wythe County to the late Bob and Pauline Cassell on August 2, 1942. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Cassell and sister, Iva Horton and great nephew, Drake Elvetici. Sam is survived by two nieces, Michelle and Mandy Cassell; nephew, Brian Horton and wife Tracie of Alaska; and numerous cousins. Sam leaves a lasting impression on all who knew him, especially his loving family, friends and clients. The family wishes to thank the staff at Carrington Place for his care during his stay and Kathy Anderson for her help at home the past month and Access Home Health Care.
