Obituary of Larry Dean Gilbert

Larry Dean Gilbert age 67, of Wytheville, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Perry Gilbert. Survivors include his two sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil and Courtney Gilbert of Gladys, VA; James and Deneane Gilbert of Westville, FL; two grandchildren, Eli James Gilbert and Athena Rae Gilbert; mother, Shirley Griffth Smith of Bassett; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhonda and Randell Compton of Wytheville; Cindy and Wesley White of Bassett; Jennifer Smith of Bassett; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Tina Gilbert of Jewel Ridge; Robert and Sharon Gilbert of Jewel Ridge; and several nieces and nephews survive. Graveside service will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Gilbert Family Cemetery 231 Aspen Lane Wytheville, Va 24382. There will be no visitation at funeral home.
