Kenneth “Kenny” Elliott Wilkins, age 76, of Wytheville, Virginia, passed away on August 15, 2024. He was born on November 23, 1947, in Burlington, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Ira Edmond Wilkins Sr.; his mother, Grace Blanks Wilkins; and his brother, Ira “Buddy” Edmonds Wilkins Jr.

Kenny is survived by his daughter, Lisa Gates (Jermey), and granddaughter, Farrah Gates, of Warrenton, VA; his son, Kenneth “Kenny” Elliott Wilkins II, and grandsons, Dedrik and Zedrik Taylor, of Wytheville, VA; his brother, Eric Wilkins (Kitty), of Wytheville, VA; and several cherished nieces, nephews, friends, and even a husband-in-law.

Kenny was a retired US Army veteran and US Postal employee. He found joy in his retirement job at Old Hickory Buildings and Sheds “RRKW BARNS.”

Kenny will be fondly remembered as a loving father and a hero to his children, “Lisa Marie” and “Buck.”

The family will receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 20th, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Aubrey Whitlow. A graveside service with full military honors will follow at Mt. Ephraim Methodist Church Cemetery in Crockett, VA.
