Dora C. Jackson Nelson, 77, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away Sunday, August 18th 2024, at the Life Care Center of Estero. She was born on March 24, 1947, in Wytheville, Virginia to the late Dallas and Ila Jackson. She lived most of her life in Virginia and had a career as an administrative assistant with various employers until retiring from Montgomery County Department of Social Services.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in- law, Barbara and JC Groseclose of Troutville, VA and brother and sister- in- law, Lewis and Elva Jackson of Reidsville, NC. Daughters, Dana Marie Anderson and son-in-law Bruce Anderson of Mars Hill, NC and Karen Nelson Furr and son-in-law Bryan Furr of Fort Myers, FL.

Grandchildren: Ashely and spouse Randy Hagler of Christiansburg. Mark Dunford of Wytheville, Danielle Weaver of Wytheville and Peyton Alley of Roanoke. Great Grandchildren: Ethan Cassell, Logan Hagler, Sydney Hagler, and Serenity Taylor.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Evergreen United Methodist Church Cemetery, Wytheville, VA with the Reverend Steve Alderman officiating. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
