Obituary of Fay Catron Topham

Fay Catron Topham, age 86, passed away peacefully Friday January 17th, 2025. She was a lifelong resident of Wytheville, VA. Fay was born February 25, 1938, to the late Robert P. Catron and Clara F. Catron. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas “Tommy” Topham, Jr. Fay was employed at Rural Retreat Garment and Shirt Factory for many years. She is survived by her brother Garland “Zip” Catron of Wytheville VA, Nieces Kim Cregger (Bambie) Wytheville, Terrie Reilly (Kevin) of Maryville TN, Susan Blair (Ernie) of Wytheville, Sandy Catron of Wytheville. Nephews Dale Catron of Wytheville, Tim Topham (Traci) of Maryville TN, Ben Topham, Jr. of Charlotte NC, Special Nephew Tam Topham (son Brody Topham) of Wytheville VA, several great nieces and nephews and a very special friend Buttermilk Stroup of Wytheville. Fay will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her, and her buddy “Bullet” (Brody’s dog). Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Reverend Gary Houseman with interment to follow in the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 12:00 Noon until service time.
